The food at this hotel is always fantastic but on Gala Nights it’s taken to another level. Normally you get to enjoy a salad buffet before choosing you starter & main courses to be followed by a dessert buffet but on these special evenings the format is a bit different. You start with the usual Salad Buffet which is then followed by a Hot Buffet where on this occasion you got to choose from amazing freshly made pasta dishes including the best Spaghetti Carbonara you will ever taste. As well as this there is also a Linguine Pasta with Tomato & Basil , Lasagne & Mussels.

Next to come was the main course where you had the choice of Locally farmed Pork with Garda Virgin Olive Oil or a Fillet of Pink Trout with a Caper & Anchovy Sauce. We decided to order one of each and I have to say both dishes were a delight.

We then finished with a fabulous Coffee flavoured Panna Cotta with San Vigilini Rock Cakes.

We matched all the dishes with a great local Valpolicella red wine from Cantina Valpantena which was nice and light with flavours of Red Berries.
