Having stayed here for a night in February we was really looking forward to spending two nights here to celebrate our Anniversary at the end of June especially as the hotel had already told us which room we were allocated and it was a lovely room with lots of space right on the courtyard itself. It really was a fantastic room with a huge bath in the bedroom plus a large walk in shower in the bathroom. All the staff were once again so,very friendly which is also another great reason to stay here . The hotel is in a great location with a great variety of interests in the area as well as some amazing cafes & restaurants in the town itself i.e. Vs Kitchen , Grocer 91 and the fantastic restaurant The Artichoke. So a big thank you to the hotel for there amazing hospitality and looking forward to staying here again
A really delightful overnight stay at Taplow Hotel situated in the lovely countryside in Buckinghamshire and only a short drive to Windsor. A nice friendly welcome on our arrival then shown to our room which overlooked the beautiful gardens . After quickly unpacking we were able to sit outside and enjoy our complimentary Cream Tea to which the Scones were amazing. After Tea had a little walk around before enjoying a refreshing drink on the patio before retiring to our room to get ready for dinner. Decided to come down a bit earlier for dinner as it was such a lovely day and have an aperitif out on the patio while looking at the Menu. The food I have to say was really good we started with a fantastic selection of Bread before enjoying our starters the Beef Tartare & Ham Hock Terrine then onto the mains of Cod Fillet with Samphire & Chips and my Lamb Loin with Boulangere Potatoes so now desserts of Olive Oil Cake and a deconstructed Rhubarb Crumble we decided to have our Coffees in the comfort of the Berry’s Bar where we stayed to enjoy a couple of G&T’s After enjoying a comfortable nights sleep it was time for breakfast in a lovely room overlooking the grounds. There was plenty of choice but we opted for the Full English which was very good I have to say it was a lovely relaxing afternoon , evening & morning and made all the better by the warm and friendly manner from every member of staff and would definitely consider staying here again .
Always love our annual stays at Claridges and like to pop a couple of times throughout the year to say hello to there amazing staff who never seem to forget you which I find unbelievable but then that’s why it’s such a fantastic 5 Star luxury hotel. So yesterday we went for Afternoon Tea and in true Claridges style it was outstanding. Starting with a glass of Laurent Perrier Champagne while we decided which tea to have from the extensive menu . Then the sandwiches arrive and the feast begins we had Two servings ( but you can have more ) then come the cakes and they were the best we’ve ever known from amazing Hazelnut Choix, Passion Fruit Macaroons & Cherry & Dark Chocolate cake these were served alongside the always fantastic homemade Fruit & Plain Scones . The service from every member of staff is just exceptional. To me it’s the best Afternoon Tea set in the the Foyer & Reading Room which is just the most delightful area to enjoy & feel so relaxed and course very full. We followed this by retiring to Claridges Bar for a couple of Gin & Tonic’s while we let our little tummies rest and again the staff in the bar are so friendly making it such a pleasure to visit for a cocktail or two . Look forward to visiting again soon before our yearly stay
Was looking for somewhere to stay while we dined at Midsummer House and I’m very pleased that we chose the wonderful little B&B which was in a great and very easy accessible from the M11. The three rooms all situated on the first floor ours was overlooking the back garden which was a fair size and would be nice to sit in during the summer. We had a nice comfortable bed a shower room and were left plenty of tea & coffee making facilities. Elaine & Graham were lovely hosts and treated us to a lovely breakfast before heading home. I would definitely recommend a visit to this B&B if your coming to Cambridge I know we’ll stay here again the next time we’re in the area
A lovely little B&B on the premises of Haywards Restaurant and the Forest Gate Inn pub which makes it an ideal place to stay after enjoying a great evening in the Pub or Restaurant or even both also perfectly situated if you to explore Epping Forest and Epping Town Centre. It has Four Rooms 3 of which are located upstairs and one which has Disabled access on the Ground Floor to which there is a nice seating area if you just wanted to chill for the evening. You are served a nice continental or you can be provided with a Full English if you so wish everything is catered for by your wonderful host Jane . Looking forward to staying here in the future
This was our first visit to the Crown Inn Hotel and we were very pleased. It’s a lovely old architectural building with a few modern twists . A very friendly girl greeted us at reception and was very helpful and even showed us which room we would be staying in when we return in June and now having stayed here we can’t wait. There’s plenty of outside space in the courtyard which would be very nice in the summer. Our room was on the ground floor and it was quite spacious with a nice sized bathroom and a huge walk in shower. We had a nice selection of complimentary items including a Half Bottle of Red Wine. Would definitely recommend staying here in this lovely little town of Amersham
